Terms & Conditions


Orders

Please take note that you need to fill out all requested information completely and correctly in order for us to process your orders in time.

Please retain your confirmation number. If changes or cancellations are necessary, this number will make it easier to find your order.

If you live in British Columbia and wish to pick up at Generic Technology's will call center, order should be placed in one day advance. 

Unless stated otherwise on the invoice, stated prices do not include any customs, duties, sales, use, value added, excise, federal, state, local or other taxes. All such duties or taxes shall be paid by customer.

A few orders may take extra days to ship, due to the low stock quantity at the time of processing. You will be contacted if a delay occurs.

The Terms & Conditions must be accepted before an order is placed.

Payments

1) Online Orders:

All orders placed on our website should be online orders. We accept credit card ( Visa and Master Card ) for online order. Customer can also pay by money order or cashiers cheque, we will ship the order until we receive the payment. For personal cheque, we need five day deposit for it is clear. Billing Address and Shipping Address are different may cause delay or cancel the order for verification, we suggest customer to call bank to authorize the shipping address first if different from the billing address, we also need customer to provide us the bank phone number for verification.

A $20 minimum fee shall be charged on all returned checks.

We do not accept COD online.

The order amount more than $500.00, may request copy of credit card and ID. The order amount more than $1000.00, may request money order.

Generic Technology charges PST & GST on all purchases that to be shipped to the addresses located in British Columbia.  GST only for the addresses located outside British Columbia (No PST).

For first nations, we still need you pay GST to us. You may claim back GST from the Government by our invoice.

If you are a Reseller with a shipping address in British Columbia and want to be exempted from this PST. We need you provide all the legal copy of PST no# and Business license.

 

2) Will Call:

1. Order need to be placed one business day in advance (24 hours after) before coming to pick up.

2. High value item or special order may require deposit.

3. Will call time same as our business hour.

5. Payment:

All orders that come to pick up our will call center, we accept cash, money order, cashier cheque, VISA and Master Card. Personal cheque is not accepted.

6. Cancellation:

20% cancellation fee will be applied for any cancelled order. Some installation fee will apply for pre-built system.

Shipping

1) Shipping Limitations/Delays:

All shipping dates are approximate and are based upon current availability of materials and prompt receipt of all necessary information. All complete orders received before 12:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) will be shipped out on the same day. Orders or items not shipped on the same day are usually shipped next day. For pre-built systems, we usually need three day to test and burn in.

Our Sales Department will contact you for backorder items and these items will be shipped out as soon as they become available.

Generic Technology will not be liable for any damage, loss, fault or expenses arising out of delays in shipment or other non-performance of this Agreement caused by or imposed by

(1) strikes, fires, disasters, riots, Acts of God;

(2) acts of Buyer;

(3) governmental action; or

(4) any other cause or condition beyond the Seller's reasonable control in the event of any such delay or non-performance.

Shipping Methods and Charge:

All the orders will be shipped with Canada Post, Regular or Xpresspost include insurance and delivery confirmation. Shopping Charge should be the publish rate as you quote at Canada Post website: www.canadapost.com

3) Shipping Insurance:

Insurance will be applied and paid by us to ensure that customers will receive their orders safely.

4) Shipping Addresses:

Shipping address can be physical address or PO Box. We do not accept APO, FPO, or Hotel.

Generic Technology ONLY ships all packages to the billing address of the credit card. The accuracy of the address is the responsibility of the cardholder. If billing and shipping address differs, then it will be alternate shipping address.

5) Alternate Shipping Addresses:

If you would like to ship your order to an address that is different from your billing address, we do require one of the following procedures:

Option #1: Contact your credit card company to have your shipping address added as an authorized shipping address and send e-mail to info@gcgo123.com,
Option #2: Send a Fax Authorization containing the following items:

1. Copy of the front and back of credit card.

2. Copy of a picture ID.

3. A statement reading "I authorize Generic Technology to ship my order to the following (shipping) address, followed by the billing address (Please remember to include your order number).

4. A handwritten signature of the cardholder.

5. We are not responsible for delay the order reason by shipping address is different with billing address.

6) Shipment refused:

Refused or undeliverable shipments will be subject to a 20% or $25.00, whichever greater, restocking fee, in addition to applicable shipping fee, insurance fees, and any losses incurred by us.

Orders shipped to any address other than the billing address may be delayed for credit card verification.

Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)

All claims for shortage, manufacturers defective, shipment error, incompatibility, or incorrectly ordered merchandise must be made within ten (15) calendar days after the invoice date. Please fill out our RMA Form to request a RMA number.

No RMA and warranty by Generic Technology shall apply to any merchandise physically damaged.

An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) must be issued before the 10th calendar day of the invoice date. Please fill out our RMA Form to request a RMA number. No returns will be accepted without RMA number.

All other claims made after the 10th day but before the 30th day of the Invoice date will be considered due to the "time value" of the merchandise. We reserve the option to accept or reject non-defective returns.

A copy of the invoice must accompany all returns with a valid RMA number. Buyer must return merchandise to seller within five (5) calendar days after the RMA is issued. If the merchandise is not returned within the authorized time period, the RMA will be canceled.

Merchandise must be packed securely and be returned to Generic Technology, undamaged, and must include original packaging, manuals, warranty cards, documentation, and all other accessories, with Buyer being solely responsible for paying all return freight costs and insurance. It is recommended that all returns be made via a traceable carrier such as FedEx, UPS or Certified Mail as Generic Technology is not responsible for items that are misdirected or lost in shipment. RMA numbers must be legibly listed on the outside of the carton. Generic Technology does not accept any shipments without a valid RMA.

Merchandise is subject to testing before replacements will be issued. We reserve the right to return to the Buyer any non-defective merchandise or any merchandise that does not match the invoice. The buyer will be responsible for all related charges such as shipping, insurance, testing, and handling fee on this matter.

We reserve the option to require that defective merchandise returns be accompanied by a test report from an independent laboratory in order to receive a refund, credit, or replacement on merchandise.

We reserve the right to issue credits or refunds in exchange for returned merchandise, or to replace merchandise with new or repaired, used, or reconditioned parts.

All credits will be held for a maximum of ninety (90) days. After ninety (90) days all credits will be considered cancelled.

All the consumable products are non-refundable. (like toner, cartridge, media...)

All returns are subject to twenty percent (20%) or $25, whichever greater, restocking fee or current market value at Generic Technology's discretion. All non product related fees such as shipping, transaction, payment processing, and insurance are not refundable. Our liability shall be limited to the invoiced value of the merchandise or its replacement.

No return for final sale, clearance sale products.or specicially mentioned products.


Warranties

Manufacture warranty only for retail product such as: Monitor, Printer, Laptop, Manufacture Built PC System.Camera, Projector, Scanner, Electonic Equipment.....

Lifetime Warraty product is through by manufacture only .

All memory modules have one year warranty.

All CPUs have a "replacement only" warranty and must be returned for exchange within the warranty period assigned to each brand and type of CPU. OEM CPU is 30 days warranty from Generic Technology. Retail Box CPU is 30 days warranty from Generic Technology and 3 year warranty from manufacture.

All the systems we provide one year parts and three labor depot warranty.

All motherboards, computer components, and peripherals have a one (1) year warranty through Generic Technology. Additional warranties, if any, will be through the manufacturer.

All software warranties regarding compatibility with other hardware or software products, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, or the ability of a product to meet the Buyers needs, are granted solely by the publisher or manufacturer of the products.

All merchandise must be returned in original condition including packaging, documentation, warranty cards, manuals, and accessories.

No warranty by Generic Technology shall apply to any merchandise physically damaged.

No warranty by Generic Technology shall apply to any merchandise, which have been modified or damaged by the Buyer. Merchandise that is defective due to misuse, neglect, or improper installation is not covered under the warranty. We are not responsible for any damages incurred to Buyer's equipment or data resulting from an improper installation.

All warranties begin from the date of invoice.

Due to manufacturer's policies, Generic Technology can not accept refunds or returns on All those retail products include software, Monitors Camera, Printers, Cartridges, Media, Retail Box CPU. All RMA related to above products, buyer must be deal directly with the manufacturer

No Generic Technology employee, agent, or dealer is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty.

Limitation on Liability

In no event shall Generic Technology be responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including loss of use, income or profits, arising out of or in connection with this agreement including, without limitation, breach of any obligation imposed on seller hereunder or in connection herewith, even if seller has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event shall Generic Technology be liable for any programs or data stored in or used in conjunction with any merchandise sold, the cost associated with recovering such programs or data, or any incompatibilities between the merchandise sold and any hardware or software used by the buyer

In no event shall Generic Technology be liable for any expenses incurred by buyer for any installation done by someone other than seller.

In no event shall the Generic Technology liability (whether under the theories of breach of contract or warranty, negligence or strict liability) exceed the purchased price paid for the goods.
